"Line first, likeness second."
Drawn quickly — single sittings, single sheets — letting line and colour carry the figure rather than working toward likeness. The point was to test how the same hand that draws a flower draws a face.
Across the series the palette echoes the print work: coral, cobalt, ochre, jade. Backgrounds are flat and saturated, sitters reduced to contour and a few solid fills.

- Pastel — direct to A4, scribble and burnish.
- Acrylic — wet, gestural, on stretched canvas.
- Digital — flat fields with a single contour line.
